Transcript

Hello coffee lovers, in between interviews on why we need to meet up over coffee. I'll share short episodes that delve into all things coffee. Think of them as a shot of espresso. Now, here's your coffee culture short. On polishing why do we meet up for coffee? We're always looking for connection, right? Connection is powerful. It's our energy source. And when we desire connection, we find a way to get together. And that's where the coffee meetup enters. Coffee is a bit of an excuse, right? You might not even drink coffee, but it's a tool. It's a vehicle to connect. I have this little story. I was walking by a coffee shop, and they had one of those chalkboards outside. And it said, Life is hard. Coffee helps. And I loved that. But the funny thing was, like 30 seconds later, I went by a yoga studio, and two women were standing outside talking. And they were just about to depart from each other. And one of them puts her hand on the shoulder of the other one says, Hey, if you want to get together and talk, we can meet up for coffee. And I don't know about you, but I've probably use that excuse a million times to either be a support beam for a friend, or use it myself for a way to like ask for help for somebody like, Hey, can we meet up for coffee? It might have been for me and not for them. And I think we also use the coffee meet up in lighter ways. Maybe to strike that first date? Or maybe you want to, you know, grow your business network. So you set up the Zoom coffee meetup, right? You send a DM to somebody on LinkedIn. So in the end, the coffee Meetup is something we all do. So as an aside, yes, coffee is delicious. To me, I don't really need an excuse to drink coffee. But metaphorically, I use it to meet you and to connect with you. It's an invitation to feel your energy. So my question to you is, do you use the coffee meetup to consult your best friends about life? To swipe right for an afternoon date that feels safer to garner that Zoom business meetings so you can grow your network? Or do you have a completely different reason that you use to connect with people using the coffee meetup? So anyway, I would love if you would share your answer with me. Let me know. What do you plan your coffee meetups for? You could put them in the reviews on Apple podcasts or DM me on Instagram. And if you'd like to support an indie podcaster there is the link in the show notes for buying me a coffee. Please subscribe and share a cup of coffee culture with your friends.
